How to Manage Product List Filter Settings?

This tutorial provides step-by-step instructions for managing product list filter settings operations in Omnitron.

Step 1: Access to Omnitron​

  • Get access to the Omnitron panel.

  • Enter your Username and Password, and then click the Sign In button.

Step 2: Navigate to Product List Filter Settings Page​

  • Follow the Sales Channels > Sales Channel Settings steps and click on the Product List Filter Settings cardbox.

Product List Filter Settings cardbox appears only when the selected sales channel type is web. In other words, for shop-type of sales channels, this cardboard appears.

Step 3: View/Filter Product List Filter Settings​

  • By clicking on the Product List Filter Settings cardbox on the Sales Channel Settings menu, the Product List Filter Settings page can be accessed.

    • A Product List Filter Setting, in other words facet, can be described as the configuration of the filter component that is shown on the shop. Searchable type of attributes can be seen on the shop as filters, configuration of these filters (like how they look, how they filter (exact match or includes etc.)) can be made on the Product List Filter Settings page.

  • Users can;

    • view the Product List Filter Settings for the related Sales Channel,

    • filter Product List Filter Settings with respect to the name and attribute key values,

    • add a New Product List Filter Setting,

    • edit an existing Product List Filter Setting on the Product List Filter Settings page.

Step 4: Add/Edit Product List Filter Settings​

  • Clicking on + New Filter Option button or clicking on the listed Product List Filter Settings, users can reach the Add/Edit Product List Filter Setting form.

  • Users can;

    • give value to the filter option name, attribute key,

      • attribute key input can be one of the attributes on Products and Catalogs - Product Attributes list or one of the static attributes, like price, stock etc.

    • select the attribute type, widget type, filter type values,

      • attribute types can be “global” or EAV (entity-attribute-values)”.

        • If static attributes are to be used, “global” should be selected.

        • If attributes listed on Products and Catalogs - Product Attributes list are to be listed “eav” should be selected.

      • widget types can be “multi select”, “category”, “feature value”, “visual color example”, “nested”

        • Visual customization for filters can be made with combining widget types and widget kwargs values, like selecting “_visual color example” _widget type and configuring HEX definitions on colors on widget kwargs.

      • filter types can be “terms” or “range

        • For example, if “between 100-125 EUR” price filter is to be added to the shop, “range” filter type should be selected and relevant widget kwargs and filter kwargs should be configured. Otherwise, “terms” should be selected.

    • fill in the widget kwargs, filter kwargs, settings fields with JSON format for the Product List Filter Setting.
