Akinon Command Line Interface - (Akinon CLI)

Akinon CLI is a command-line tool provided by Akinon to interact with and manage ACC projects and applications. It offers a set of commands that enable developers and administrators to perform various tasks efficiently, such as project initialization, deployment, environment configuration, and data management.

Akinon Cloud - (ACC)

ACC is a comprehensive cloud-based e-commerce solution provided by Akinon. It offers a scalable and customizable platform for building and managing Akinon's products.

Amazon Web Services - (AWS)

AWS is a comprehensive cloud computing platform offered by Amazon. It provides a wide range of cloud services, including computing power, storage, database management, and various other functionalities. ACC leverages the power and capabilities of AWS to deliver a scalable and reliable infrastructure for hosting e-commerce stores.

Application - (app)

In the context of ACC, applications are additional software components that can be integrated into the platform. These applications, added by partners and developers, expand the functionality and features of ACC.

Attribute

Specific characteristics or properties within the system that can be assigned to products or used for categorization, filtering, or search purposes, such as size, color, or material.

Attribute Set

A predefined group or collection of related attributes within the system that can be assigned to product categories or groups for easier management and organization.

Attribute Value

The specific value or option assigned to an attribute within the system, providing additional details or specifications for products or filtering options for customers.


B

Basket

A virtual container that holds selected products for a user before proceeding to the checkout process.

Breadcrumb

A visual navigational aid consisting of links that shows users the hierarchical path or steps they have taken within a website's structure.

Business-to-Business - (B2B)

B2B refers to business transactions or relationships that occur between two or more companies, rather than involving individual consumers.

Business-to-Consumer - (B2C)

B2C represents business transactions or relationships between a company and individual consumers.


C

Campaign

A marketing campaign within the system enables to create, monitor, and analyze promotional activities, discounts, and special offers targeted at customers or based on products.

Checkout

Webpage within the system where users can manage their personal information, addresses, payment methods, and track their order history.

Cloud Native

Cloud Native refers to an approach where ACC is designed and built specifically for cloud environments. ACC leverage cloud technologies and principles, such as containerization and microservices architecture, to maximize scalability, flexibility, and resilience.

Cockpit

Cockpit refers to the user interface or control panel within ACC that provides a centralized hub for managing and configuring various aspects of an e-commerce project.

Collection

A curated grouping or category of related products, often based on themes, characteristics, or target audiences, displayed together for easy browsing and discovery.

Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery - (CI/CD)

CI/CD is a development practice implemented in ACC that involves automating the processes of building, testing, and deploying applications. It ensures that code changes are consistently integrated and delivered to the production environment, resulting in faster and more reliable software releases.

Coupons

Promotional vouchers or codes within the e-commerce management system that administrators can generate and distribute to customers, allowing them to redeem discounts or special offers during the checkout process.

Customer Relationship Management - (CRM)

CRM is a strategy and technology used to manage and analyze customer interactions and relationships throughout the customer lifecycle.

Database - (DB)

In ACC, the database refers to the structured collection of data that stores information related to the e-commerce store, such as product details, customer data, order information, and more. The database enables efficient data storage, retrieval, and management for the smooth operation of the online store.

Delivery Location

The designated location or address where an order is scheduled to be delivered to the customer.

Destination

The final intended delivery location or address for an order.

Developer

Developers in the ACC ecosystem play a crucial role in designing, creating, and maintaining applications and integrations. They actively participate in building and versioning the latest products and applications within projects.

Discount

A price reduction or special offer feature that administrators can apply to specific products or orders, providing customers with discounted purchase options.

Distribution Scenario

A predefined set of rules or conditions that determine how products are distributed across different locations or warehouses.

E-commerce

The buying and selling of goods and services conducted electronically, typically through online platforms.

Enterprise Resource Planning - (ERP)

A software system that integrates various business processes and functions.

Fast Delivery

A shipping option or service that ensures expedited or accelerated delivery of orders to customers.

Favorites Page

A personalized page where users can view and manage their saved or favorite products.

Flora

Flora is a powerful cloud orchestration tool developed by Akinon for managing and automating various aspects of cloud infrastructure in ACC. It simplifies tasks such as application building, SSL certificate management, scalability, DNS configuration, and database provisioning, allowing users to focus on developing and improving their digital commerce solutions.

Fulfillment

The process of processing, preparing, and delivering orders to customers. It involves managing orders received from Omnitron, creating packages based on defined scenarios, and re-running relevant scenarios for packages requiring re-planning. It also encompasses the management of package status, including packaged, sent, collected, and shipping.

Geolocation

The process of determining a user's location, which can be used for customizing product offerings and shipping options.

Gift Cards

Virtual or physical cards that customers can purchase and redeem for product purchases on an e-commerce site.

Google Merchant Center

A platform for e-commerce businesses to upload and manage product data for use in Google Shopping and other advertising campaigns.

Homepage

The main page of user's e-commerce website that serves as the entry point for users, displaying brands, campaigns, categories, products, and navigation options.

Headless CMS

A content management system that separates the content from the presentation layer, allowing for more flexible and customizable content delivery.

HTML Editor Input

A field or component that allows users to input and edit HTML code directly.

Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure - (HTTPS)

A secure version of the HTTP protocol, ensuring data encryption and security.

Integration

The process of connecting and synchronizing the OMS with other systems or platforms.

Inventory

The stock of products or goods available for sale or distribution.

Invoice

A record that provides a detailed summary of an order, including the products purchased, pricing, and payment information

JavaScript

A popular programming language commonly used for building dynamic and interactive web applications.

JavaScript Object Notation - (JSON)

A lightweight data interchange format often used for transmitting product data between a server and a web application.


K

Keyword

In the context of SEO (Search Engine Optimization), a keyword refers to a specific word or phrase that people use when conducting online searches in search engines.


L

Landing Page

A specific web page designed for marketing purposes, often used to promote and showcase e-commerce products.

Live Streaming

Broadcasting real-time video content on e-commerce websites to showcase and promote products, often used in influencer marketing.

Localization

Customizing e-commerce websites, product content, and marketing materials to cater to the specific preferences and languages of different regions or countries.

Location

A specific physical place, such as a warehouse or store, where the products available for sale are physically located. The connection of the existing stock integration is established for each location to provide accurate information on product quantities and their respective locations within the OMS.

Loyalty Points

Reward points earned by e-commerce customers for making purchases, which can be redeemed for future products or discounts.

Loyalty Program

A rewards system that encourages repeat purchases from e-commerce customers by offering discounts, points, or exclusive access to products.


M

Marketplace

An e-commerce platform developed by Akinon that allows various sellers to list their products and services on a single website or application. Akinon's marketplace solution provides tools and features for sellers to create their online stores, manage product listings, and for buyers to search for, compare, and purchase products from multiple sellers within the Akinon ecosystem.

Marketplace Catalog

The marketplace catalog is a database or interface used by sellers to list and manage their products. It stores information such as product details, SKU, base code, and category.

Marketplace Owner - (MPO)

The marketplace owner, also referred to as MPO, is a business or seller who manages their own marketplace on Akinon Seller Center, listing and selling their products.

Maturity

Maturity refers to the predetermined time when a financial instrument due for payment.

Microservices

An architectural approach where applications are composed of small, independently deployable services, each responsible for a specific business capability.

Multi-tenant SaaS

Software as a Service (SaaS) that serves multiple clients or tenants from a single instance of the software, allowing for efficient resource sharing.


N

Navigation Bar

A menu on a website that helps users navigate through product categories and pages.

Native App

A mobile application designed for a specific operating system (e.g., iOS or Android) to enhance the mobile shopping experience.

Notification System

A feature that sends alerts or updates to users regarding product availability, order status, or promotions.


O

One-time password SMS - (OTP SMS)

A security measure where a unique password is sent to a user's mobile phone via SMS for secure authentication during login or transaction processes.

Order

A completed transaction by a user, representing their purchase of a package containing one or more products. Order is submitted by customers through various channels, such as websites, mobile applications, and marketplaces, and is transferred from these channels to Omnitron, which then sends them to the OMS. The OMS periodically checks and retrieves new orders from Omnitron at regular intervals, typically once a minute.

Order Cancellation

The action of voiding or canceling an existing order before it is shipped or delivered to the customer.

Order Channel

The specific sales channel or source through which an order is received, such as an online store or a mobile app.

Order Fulfillment

The process of handling and fulfilling customer orders, including inventory management, picking, packing, and shipping logistics to ensure timely delivery.

Order Management System OMS

A cloud-native SaaS platform that enables businesses to manage and process their orders efficiently, including order fulfillment, inventory management, order tracking, and so on.

Order Prioritization

The process of assigning priority levels to orders based on factors like order value, customer status, or shipping urgency.

Order Status

The current stage or status of an order, indicating progress and fulfillment status.

Order Tracking

The ability to track the progress of an order from the moment it is placed until it is delivered to the customer, providing visibility and updates on shipment status.


P

Package

A container used for packaging and shipping products to customers, which may contain multiple package items. In the OMS, products are transported and tracked through packages. Each order is associated with one or more packages, and the package contains the specific products purchased by the customer. In case of cancellations, new packaging orders are created to include the remaining products from the canceled package.

Package Item

An individual item or product included within a package for shipment to the customer.

Package Status

The current status or state of a package, indicating packaging progress and readiness for shipment.

Packaging Location

A specific location where packaging activities take place.

Packaging Order

The specific order or sequence in which products are packaged within a package for shipment.

Packaging Rule

A predefined set of rules or criteria that determine how products are packaged for shipment.

Partner

Partners in the ACC ecosystem collaborate with Akinon to enhance the platform's capabilities and make all applications and products accessible worldwide.

Payment Gateway

A secure payment processing service integrated into the system, allowing to manage and process online payments from customers using various payment methods.

Platform as a Service - (PaaS)

PaaS refers to the cloud computing model offered by ACC, where the platform provides a complete infrastructure and development environment for users to build, deploy, and manage their e-commerce applications without the need to worry about the underlying hardware or software infrastructure.

Pretty URLs

User-friendly website addresses that are easy to read and understand, typically incorporating descriptive words or phrases related to the content of the webpage.

Price

The cost or amount at which a product is listed or offered for sale to customers.

Product

An item or offering available for sale within the system, represented by specific SKU, attributes, pricing, inventory, and associated information.

Product Details Page

A dedicated webpage providing comprehensive information about a specific product, including details.

Product Listing Page

A webpage that presents a collection of products and their details.

Project

Each project in ACC represents a brand and contains unique products and applications, all delivered to brands through AWS cloud technology. Projects encompass all necessary configurations, settings, themes, and elements for managing a distinct online presence.

Project Zero - (PZ)

Project Zero is a feature within ACC that allows users to create and deploy a fully functional e-commerce store with minimal effort. It provides a starter project with pre-configured settings, layouts, and sample data, enabling users to quickly launch their online store and customize it according to their specific requirements.

Public Key

In the context of ACC, a public key is a cryptographic key used in SSL/TLS (Secure Sockets Layer/Transport Layer Security) encryption. It is part of a key pair, along with a private key, and is used for secure communication and authentication between the e-commerce store and the customers' web browsers.


Q

QR Code Payments

A payment method that allows customers to make purchases by scanning QR codes with their mobile devices.

Query String

A part of a URL that contains parameters used to filter or search for specific products on an e-commerce website.


R

Reconciliation

Reconciliation is the process of ensuring consistency and balance between financial transactions or accounts. It is necessary for accurately recording and managing financial transactions between sellers and the platform.

Reconciliation Transactions

Reconciliation transactions refer to the operations conducted to record and verify financial transactions, ensuring that the financial relationships between sellers and the platform are managed correctly and maintaining the consistency of accounting processes.

Refund

The process of returning money to a customer for a canceled or returned order.

Refuse

The action of rejecting or declining an order or package.

Return Location

A specific location where returned products are received and processed.

Scenario

Predefined sets of conditions or rules within the OMS that determine specific actions or behaviors, forming the process workflows for packaging and transfer orders.

Search Engine Optimization - (SEO)

SEO refers to the specialized application of Search Engine Optimization techniques to optimize online retail websites. It involves improving product listings, optimizing for relevant keywords, and enhancing website structure to increase visibility in search engine results, drive organic traffic, and boost online sales.

Secure Shell - (SSH)

SSH is a network protocol used in ACC for secure remote access to servers or systems. It provides encrypted communication and secure authentication, allowing developers or administrators to securely manage and control the e-commerce store's servers and infrastructure.

Secure Sockets Layer Certificate - (SSL Certificate)

An SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) certificate is a digital certificate that verifies the identity of a website and enables secure encrypted communication between the website and the users' web browsers. ACC supports the use of SSL certificates to ensure secure transactions, protect sensitive data, and establish trust with customers.

Shipment

The physical package or goods being transported to the customer as part of the order fulfillment process.

Shipper Location

The location or facility from which shipments are dispatched or sent to customers.

Shipping

The shipping management functionality within the system, enabling administrators to configure shipping methods, define shipping zones, calculate shipping costs, and track shipment statuses.

Stock

The quantity or availability of a product that is currently present in the inventory or available for purchase.

Stock Keeping Unit - (SKU)

A unique identifier assigned to a specific product variant or item in the inventory.

Stock Location

A specific location where inventory is stored.


T

Transfer

The movement of products or inventory between different locations. This process is managed through work orders that handle the shipment of products between locations based on the conditions specified in packaging and transfer scenarios.

Transfer Dispatch

The action of sending or dispatching products from one location to another within the OMS.

Transfer Location

A specific location where product transfers between different locations occur.

Transfer Order

An order placed to initiate the transfer of products or inventory between different locations.

Transfer Scenario

A predefined set of rules or conditions that determine how products are transferred between different locations.


U

Unified

Unified is a product that empowers brands, whether they are Omnitron users or not, to list and sell each other's products on their websites, mobile apps, in-store tablets, and other sales channels. This creates a shared catalog on Omnitron, offering a unified marketplace experience within the Akinon Community, allowing various clients to diversify their product offerings.

User

Refers to individuals who have registered on the system and are actively browsing the site after logging in. Within all requests and responses, the term "user" specifically denotes the currently logged-in user.

User Segmentation

The process of categorizing and grouping customers based on specific criteria or characteristics, enabling targeted marketing efforts and personalized communication.

Variants

Different versions or options of a product, often with variations in attributes like size, color, or features.

Value Added Tax - (VAT)

A consumption tax levied on the value added to a product or service at each stage of production or distribution.


W

Webhook

When a particular event occurs, webhooks asynchronously notify users who have subscribed to that event via a URL.

Widget

A configurable and reusable component or feature within the e-commerce management system that can be placed and customized on various pages or sections, providing specific functionality or information, such as a product carousel, customer reviews, or live chat support.


X

XLSX

A file format commonly used for spreadsheet data, and the button typically provides the option to download or upload data in this format.


Y

Years of Guarantee

The duration for which a product is guaranteed to function properly, often in the context of warranties and consumer protection.


Z

Zip File

A compressed file format used for bundling and downloading multiple product files or documents.

Z-Index

A CSS property that controls the stacking order of product elements on a web page, influencing their visibility.
