Akinon Release Notes (01.05.2026)

Omnitron

Resolved Issues

Easy Return Code Included in Excel Export

  • On the Orders > Cancellation / Return Requests page, an issue where "Easy Return Code" values appeared empty during Excel export has been resolved. Exported files now correctly include the displayed "Easy Return Code" values, ensuring data completeness and accuracy.

Tab-Specific Filters Isolated in Catalogs Page

  • On the "Products and Catalogs > Catalogs" page, filters applied within one tab were previously carried over when switching to other tabs. This behavior has been updated so that each tab now maintains its own independent filter state, preventing unintended filter persistence and improving usability.

Enhancements

Starts With Filter Option and Multi-Select Support for Text Attributes

  • A new “Starts With” filter option has been added for text-type attributes in Omnitron product lists, complementing the existing Content Search, Exact Match, and Empty Attribute Value filters.

    • Granular Filtering: Allows users to quickly find products whose attribute values begin with a specific string, improving search precision.

    • Multi-Select Support: Users can now select multiple filter values simultaneously, enabling more flexible and complex filtering scenarios across product lists.

Commerce

Resolved Issues

Seller Filter Issue

  • Product listing pages where the seller filter did not update results correctly have been fixed. The issue was caused by nested filters being incorrectly applied to the Elasticsearch _score sorting mechanism. The filtering logic has been updated to apply nested filters only to fields with the products. prefix, ensuring correct and consistent seller filtering behavior.

Corrected Product Link Redirection in User Account Areas

  • An issue has been resolved where clicking on products in certain user account sections—such as Cart, Order Details, Favorites, and Collections—redirected users to generic product URLs instead of the product’s specific Pretty URL. The backend absolute_url generation has been corrected to ensure that users are consistently redirected to the correct, SEO-friendly product detail pages from all account-related sections.

Attribute Type Handling in Pretty URL Generation

  • An issue causing a TypeError during Pretty URL generation has been resolved. This error occurred when certain attribute values (e.g. color codes) were provided as integers instead of strings, leading to failures in the slugify process. The system now automatically casts integer attribute values to strings before slugification, preventing runtime errors and ensuring reliable and successful Pretty URL creation.

New Features

External Search Engine Sorting Synchronization

  • A new mechanism has been introduced to ensure consistent product ranking between third-party search engines and the Commerce. Previously, differences in sorting logic could cause products ranked highly in external search results to appear on later pages in the storefront. With this enhancement:

    • Dynamic Filter Support: The system now supports the X-SEARCH-DYNAMIC-FILTER header, allowing external search engines to pass an explicitly ordered product list (by pk or sku) encoded in base64 format.

    • Sorting Control: A new default_sorting_deactivated flag has been added. When set to true, the platform preserves the exact product order provided by the external search engine.

    • User Override Priority: If a user manually selects a sorting option on the storefront (e.g., Price Ascending), the user’s selection takes precedence over the external sorting, ensuring a consistent and intuitive user experience.

OMS

New Feature

Mandatory National Short Address Support

  • The National Short Address requirement has been integrated for all operations involving Saudi Arabia to ensure higher delivery success and data accuracy. This ensures that every order is provided with a valid location key before moving to the checkout or shipping stage. To maintain consistency, any existing addresses created before January 1, 2026, must be updated with this short address code during the editing process.

Enhancements

Idefix Channel Logo Integration for Cargo Labels

  • The cargo label generation process has been updated to include the official Idefix branding for orders originating from this channel. The Idefix logo is now automatically embedded into the cargo labels, ensuring that all printed labels are professionally branded and easily identified during the shipping process. Warehouse and courier staff are helped by this update to quickly distinguish Idefix channel packages, and potential sorting errors are reduced.

Package Status Synchronization

  • The “Package Sync Omnitron Status” command has been implemented to automatically resolve packages held in the "Waiting Remote Action" state. Packages are automatically synchronized with their master status in Omnitron (e.g., Preparing, Shipped, or Cancelled), allowing the workflow to be progressed without manual intervention.Reserved stocks are automatically released by the system if a package is identified as cancelled during the synchronization process. Packages involving partial cancellations or partial shipments are intentionally bypassed to prevent data discrepancies, and a descriptive error message is generated for manual review.

Instore

New Features

National Short Address Requirement

  • For orders in Saudi Arabia, the “National Short Address” key is now a mandatory field. Staff members must enter this unique address identifier before proceeding from the “Address & Cargo Information” step. This update ensures accurate delivery mapping and prevents progression to the checkout stage until the required address details are validated. For addresses created prior to January 1, 2026, if the short address code is missing, the address must be edited and updated with the valid key before the staff can proceed with the transaction.

This improvement was achieved by optimizing the limit set for the PENDING_DOWNLOADABLE_IMAGES_QUEUE task. This technical enhancement resolves performance issues previously encountered during pre-offer creation, resulting in a more reliable and efficient Seller Center experience.
