The Authority Groups page in Omnitron enables users to view and manage the authority groups, which are utilized to control users' access to specific Omnitron pages and actions.

In Omnitron, there are three different types of authority groups. These are:

  • General Authority Groups determine the modules and menus that the selected group can interact with or access.

  • Catalog Authority Groups specify the catalogs that the assigned group can interact with or access. These groups are editable but not deletable.

  • Channel Authority Groups define the sales channels that the designated group can connect with or access. Similarly, these groups are editable but not deletable.

Access and Navigate Authorities Menu​

To access these 3 different Authority Groups settings, log in to your Omnitron account, and then click on Settings from the navigation menu on the left.

Add a New General Authority Group​

  1. On Omnitron, navigate to the General Authority Groups, then click the +New General Authority Group button.

  1. Provide a name and description for the general authority group.

  1. On the Select Authorities tab, click the blue “⊕” button located to the left of any menu/module to view the associated authorizations. To grant these authorizations to the group, click the green "⊕" button.

Please note that each menu/module may have its own set of authorizations. You can also manage authorizations by using the Add All/Remove All buttons.

  1. To remove an added authority, click the blue "⊕" button to view the associated authorizations, and then click the red "⊖" icon to delete it for this group.

  1. To finalize the process, simply click the Save Settings button.

Add a New Catalog Authority Groups​

  1. On Omnitron, navigate to the Catalog Authority Groups, then click the +New Catalog Authority Group button.

  1. Enter a name for the group and select the Catalog(s) for which you want to grant permissions to this group. Remember that an authority group can have multiple catalogs assigned to it.

  2. Finally, click the Save button to complete the procedure.

Add a New Channel Authority Groups​

  1. On Omnitron, navigate to the Channel Authority Groups, then click the +New Channel Authority Group button.

  1. Enter a name for the group and select the Channel(s) for which you want to grant permissions to this group. Remember that an authority group can have multiple channels assigned to it.

  2. Finally, click the Save button to complete the procedure.

Assign Permissions to Users​

  1. On Omnitron, navigate to the Settings, then click the Users.

  1. Select an existing user by clicking on it.

  1. Based on preferences, assign this user to predefined General/Catalog/Channel Authority Groups.
