# How to Manage Attribute Set & Category Mapping?

Categories help organize catalog items with similarities, while Attribute Sets group attributes to describe products with specific characteristics. Categories and Attribute Sets Categories are groups that organize catalog items based on similarities. For instance, you can have attribute sets like "Shoes" and "Electronics." Attribute sets can be defined as a list of attributes where all the characteristics of a product are demonstrated. For example, the "Running Shoes" and "High Heels" leaf categories might have attribute sets like "Shoes". Leaf Categories are categories that do not contain any sub-categories.

Mapping Leaf Categories with Attribute Sets This step is essential for Marketplace Owners to ensure that products are properly categorized with the right attributes.

1. Log in to the Seller Center using your credentials.

6. Click on the mapping option, and the system will link the Leaf Category with the chosen Attribute Set.
7. Repeat this process for all relevant Leaf Categories in your catalog.
8. Review and Save Once you've mapped all the Leaf Categories with their respective Attribute Sets, take a moment to review your work. Ensure that each category is correctly linked to the appropriate attributes.<br>

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.akinon.com/tutorials/seller-center/marketplace-owner/settings/how-to-manage-attribute-set-and-category-mapping.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
